Early Years Pupil Premium

We have high aspirations for all the pupils at our school and believe that all pupils should be given the opportunity to reach their full potential. We seek to provide personalised learning opportunities and targeted  support to allow every pupil to flourish.

We use Early Years Pupil Premium funding to support those who have been identified by the Local Authority as being at a significant disadvantage.  In order to meet the above requirements, the School will ensure that additional provision is made for these pupils.

Our priorities at Alamiyah School are:

  • To narrow the gap for those pupils not on track to achieve a good level of development at the end of Reception
  • To ensure early identification of additional needs and to promote early intervention programmes
  • To ensure that there is parent partnership built between home and school to facilitate emotional, social and academic development
  • To ensure that disadvantaged pupils can access extra curricular facilities and resources to promote their holistic development

Provision is allocated according to the specific needs of each pupil. This can include:

  • Facilitating pupils’ access to the curriculum
  • Facilitating pupils’ access to educational materials in the home such as books and learning resources
  • Providing parenting support and interventions to raise achievement
  • Additional teaching and learning opportunities
  • One to one support and intervention
  • Provision of extra-curricular learning
  • Provision for more able pupils
