Practical Life

When the children first enter the Montessori classroom they are given activities that are often found in the home. Children are eager to use the familiar activities in this part of the curriculum, which act as a bridge between home and school. They help prepare the child for all the other areas of the curriculum by developing co-ordination, concentration, muscular development, independence and cultivating specific skills needed for later work in mathematics, language and all other areas.
